STAR WARS in CONCERT

For a special treat, I (Jeff) took Aubrey and Taylor
to
STAR WARS in Concert.
It was at the Energy Solutions Arena (f.k.a. Delta Center).

It was a combination of a live symphony orchestra
with movie clips from all six movies.

And it was narrated by Anthony Daniels (a.k.a. C3-PO), the only
actor to be in all six movies.
Before the show they had various displays on the outside concourse.
This included actual movie props and costumes.
This is some of the original Star Wars score.

Helmets from the various shows.

Taylor enjoyed the various weapons.

Costumes from the show.

Aubrey and Yoda--Aubrey is on the left.

They also had people in costumes.

Aubrey liked Padme Amidala's costume.

JAWAs

C3-PO (not the actor this time)

Taylor joining the Dark Side. It was all I could do
to get Taylor to stand by them.

But it wasn't so hard for Daddy and Aubrey to have
their picture taken.
It was a pretty amazing and fun concert.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

HALLOWEEN 2009

Halloween Art by Aubrey

Our Costumes
Clown Dad, Frankenstein Mom
Turtle Bridger
Spiderman Thatcher
Swine Flu Aubrey
(and cameraman Taylor)

Aubrey really was sick (possibly swine flu) and couldn't
go trick-or-treating. She wasn't happy.
Taylor claimed he was too old and stayed home
to pass out...

...our "candy"--otter pops. Or, as some might call them,
frozen light sabers.

Bridger and Thatcher were so excited to go trick-or-treating
it was hard to keep up with them
(at first)

Their first door, our neighbor Frank's house.

This was the first year Bridger got to go and carry his own bucket.

Then off to the next house.
They had lots of fun and got lots of candy
including 6 or more large size candy bars.
We love our neighborhood.
Then it was time to partake of the loot.
Bridger's mischevious smile knowing he
really shouldn't have candy.
But he tried this, and that,

and this, and that.

Until his tummy was FULL (and we made him stop).

Water and Sewer and Trash (our Yard)

Once Upon a Time...
...in a quite neighborhood there was a house...

...with a landscaped front yard...
...and all was quite.

And then some trucks from the city came in June
and they started to dig...

...and dig...

...and dig...

...and dig until they had made a nice, deep, hole.

A 3 feet wide by 3 feet deep by 50 feet long hole.
And, the water line was repaired!

And there was peace once again at the house.

UNTIL...

...the trucks pulled up again (in October)...
...and the digging began again.

And they dug...
...and they dug...

...and they dug again
until they had made aother nice, deep, hole
in a completely different place in the yard.

A 3 feet wide...

by 8 feet deep by 60 feet long hole.
And, the sewer line was repaired!

And the road was repaired.

And there was peace once again at the house.
(Although the yard doesn't look nearly as nice now as it
will take much work in the spring to repair;
and replanting of sod,
and filling in the sunken spots from the trucks,
and hoping that the sprinklers work).
THE END
