Welcome the rest of you
Now that Mother's Day is over we have extended invitations to the rest of you to visit our blog. I'm sure we won't be able to keep it up like some of you out there so you will have to forgive us for that.
I, personally, had a terrific Mother's Day. Heidi allowed me to wake up early and cook breakfast for everyone. Then I was able to get the two younger kids in the tub and dressed for church. During Sacrament meeting Heidi allowed me to enjoy the last bit when she took Thatcher and Bridger out in the hall. Come to find out, Thatcher had to go 'stinky' (which he enjoys announcing to anyone within ear shot) and Heidi tried to hold Bridger while helping him. Luckily a friend had stopped by the restroom and took Bridger. After the meeting I had searched and searched and I couldn't find them--which was a good thing considering they were in the women's restroom.
Bridger fussed just enough that I was able to take him home during the last hour of church (did I mention only 3 more weeks before he is in nursery--then he's their problem). That allowed me to put him down for a nap and cook a special lunch for everyone. After dinner (and some strong reminding), the kids helped me with the dishes and then Heidi and I were allowed an afternoon nap. That is, until the kids were being loud. So I went down stairs and yelled at them to be quiet which ended up waking Heidi up (oh the irony of it all).
After 'naps', we ate some delicious strawberry desert that Heidi spent a good portion of the prior day making for my, errr, her special day. After desert, it was a beautiful day so we went on a walk. Then, after we got home, the normal chaos of preparing for bedtime ensued and now I find myself here the next morning. All in all, it was a great day. I think Heidi even enjoyed it.
Really, I hope she did. She is a wonderful wife and mother and I know that we take her for granted too often. We are thrilled that she is starting to feel a little bit better.
We hope all the other mothers had a great day as well.
